Wire Server for Financial News Organisations

The news server brings together a variety of news feeds in serial and TCP form and stored everything to a local database. Client applications are able to monitor the news feeds in real-time, as well as perform database searches.

In addition to this, it is also able to forward news need over TCP and Serial acting as a kind of router. This software made it possible to to view local feeds across geographical boundaries by taking advantage of wide area network resources.

The system is extremely configurable. All settings can be changed in real-time without a re-start.

Management is available via GUI and telnet session, with support for a specialized remote monitoring application. (See end of page)
